Easy access to a wonderful location

The Kopano Conference will be held at Castle Vaalsbroek in Vaals, Limburg. It is situated right on the border of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to ensure accessability for all our customers and partners. The castle is located less than 10 kilometers from Aachen which is an ICE stop and has an airport. From Aachen CS we will organize transport to the castle for you! Let us know if you are interested. Unable to find a convenient way to travel to Aachen? Please contact us and we will help you find the best route to the Conference.

Kopano ecosystem ready for the conference

Only a month to go until the Kopano Conference! With that in mind Kopano’s ecosystem is getting ready for the event: the open platform Univention from Germany, our Dutch partner Campai and the German mail archive solution Benno are the first official sponsors of the event! We are excited by Community involvement from e.g. OpenSuSE and Debian. Debian maintainers Guido Gunther & Karsten Schoenert will present and also join hacking sessions.

Administrator training at Kopano conference

At the Kopano Conference we are also featuring a Kopano Administrator training on October 5th. The combined Administrator Training 101 and 102 will cover the architecture, installation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of a full Kopano installation. The training is intended for support engineers, application- and system administrators.

Meet kopano Deskapp

Kopano DeskApp is developed to be the bridge between WebApp and the desktop. As a native/fat client like application it combines the full power of WebApp and its additional communication and sharing applications with a deeper integration with the desktop for optimal professional use. In this blog post Bob Huisman – product owner of WebApp and DeskApp – explains a bit about the development of the first version of DeskApp, its current status and our development plans for future releases.
