Zarafa has announced the availability of ZCP 7.2.5 final this week. While this release mainly focuses on improving the compatibility, stability and performance of the stack this release has a big additional benefit: it is compatible with Kopano WebApp!

What does this mean?

In order to be able to use the new features in Kopano WebApp, you previously had to completely migrate to the Kopano stack. In some cases this turned out to be a big challenge and a ‘step-by-step’ was strongly preferred.

The release of Kopano WebApp 3.2.0 has a built-in compatibility layer with Zarafa ZCP 7.2.5 (and newer, if released). This makes it a lot easier to take the first steps in the Kopano realm. Something to take into consideration: this is one of the last releases of ZCP! Customers with an existing Zarafa/ZCP subscription have free access to the supported Kopano software, allowing them to migrate at any time.

How can I use it?

If you have ZCP 7.2.5 installed and you would like to use Kopano WebApp, please make sure you stick to the following guidelines:

  • Manually uninstall Zarafa WebApp, this will not happen automatically
  • Make use of the repositories if you can
  • Do not combine Zarafa WebApp plugins with Kopano WebApp, so make sure you update these as well
