On March 31, 2025, bytemine will hand over all tasks back into the hands of Kopano !
Before that, on November 1, 2024, Kopano will take over the sales activities for Kopano Cloud with its Kopano GmbH again.
The distribution program launched by bytemine GmbH in 2022 has proven to be very successful: in all three partner levels, several partners have been acquired who develop their own products and solutions based on Kopano Cloud, which are very well received by the market. But existing Kopano Groupware customers could also be migrated to the new solution, as well as various new customers who now rely on Kopano Cloud, Kopanion, or groupios.
Partners have been acquired who appreciate the advantages of the new solution: Kopano Selected Partners book an installation with the partner of their choice and can concentrate on customer service, as the operation is completely taken care of. Kopano Cloud Providers offer mailboxes as a modern SaaS offering, and can expand this into modern and collaborative suites with additional services. Due to the modern architecture and the reimplementation of essential components, Kopano Cloud is also explicitly aimed at operators of large environments, which is why we are currently in discussions with various providers with 5- and 6-digit user numbers. In particular, the low operating costs, together with the new API and the MAPI interface for a native Outlook connection, set this solution apart from others.
These measures, together with the continued commitment of bytemine GmbH in recent years, have given Kopano the freedom to make Kopano Cloud what it is today: one of the best groupware systems on the market. At the same time, bytemine has implemented the transformation from the previous product to the new solution, setting the course for the future and resulting in Kopano being in a better position today than it has been in a long time.
For both companies, it is therefore the ideal time to return distribution to the manufacturer: Kopano, together with all partners, will gain further market share, establish new business relationships and intensify existing ones. bytemine GmbH will again focus more on its core business, the development and operation of highly available IT infrastructures, and underline the high standards it sets itself with ISO27001 certification at the beginning of next year.
