“We don’t get everything right, but we get a lot of things right.” This fundamental finding regarding our commitment to our core topics of Open Source and Digital Sovereignty was important in order to be able to put our strategic direction for the coming years on a solid base.
On this basis, we already formulated our goals and intentions at product level in February, which Andreas published in this blog post.
In order to be able to successfully derive and achieve our goals, it was clear to us that this would require structural personnel changes as well. This enables us to bundle the competences and skills of our Kopano team in the right places and right locations.
In this spirit, Andreas Rösler now officially steps into the role of Managing Director of Kopano BV, succeeding Brian Joseph. Brian will take care of Kopano’s international projects. His strengths and many years of experience at an international level and beyond are a great help to Kopano.
Andreas has already been in charge of Kopano’s overall direction since January 2020 and has been responsible for activities in Germany since its foundation as managing director of Kopano’s subsidiary Kopano GmbH.
His mission is to bring Kopanos way of working as a passionate open source company to a higer level, both internally and externally. Not only offering digital sovereignty in communication and collaboration with its current products, but also landing into integrations and cross fertilism in a sustainable digital sovereign ecosystem.
With the Kopano ONE project and Kopano Kraph, the important first steps have already been taken with the first proofs. As already mentioned in the above blog post: Our claim “Your data, your terms” applies more than ever: We give organisations back control over their data while empowering them to stay connected to services of their choice.
