Kopano and linudata are continuing their long history together: linudata GmbH is one of the first partners to develop its own software appliance based on Kopano Cloud, which can be set up and operated very easily on different infrastructures. An early bird package is now available to customers for the solution, which has been named “Kopanion

Advantages of Kopanion – MS Outlook as a client and easy to use on premises

With Kopanion, you can operate a stable and easy-to-manage alternative to Microsoft Exchange on your own premises or in your own data center, as Kopano Cloud has a native connection to Microsoft Outlook and the advantages of cloud technology. This means that several tens of thousands of users can be managed on one system without any problems. An Autodiscover mechanism is used to configure the mailboxes in Microsoft Outlook and for mobile devices. No add-on is required for Microsoft Outlook, as the same native interface is used as for a Microsoft Exchange Server.

With ActiveSync for mobile devices

Mobile devices with iOS or Android operating systems can access the Kopanion with their native ActiveSync support and synchronize all data such as emails, appointments and contacts directly on the mobile device without any additional software.

Cloud technology for stable, secure, scalable and cost-effective operation

The cloud technology also used in Kopanion scales from small installations with just a few users to installations with several thousand users, depending on the hardware. This container technology is encapsulated in Kopanion and can be easily managed by the administrator using suitable tools, including for system updates, for example. For most scenarios, a simple Kopanion installation is already disproportionately scalable, i.e. adding users at short notice, even if there are several hundred, does not pose any problems for the system.

Kopanion marketing via partners

Kopanion is distributed via a partner network. linudata offers a partner program and attractive conditions. Billing is based on a subscription model with monthly billing by the partners. Customers can therefore react flexibly to their own requirements and can control their needs precisely at any time.
