Kopano Core sits at the heart of every Kopano environment and is therefore a key figure in our promise to deliver stability and extensibility of Kopano’s proven communication platform. This minor release makes reminders in shared stores configurable, improves the quota handling and fixes segfaults in kopano-server and kopano-monitor.
What is new?
Configurable reminders for shared stores for legacy clients
Following the 8.3.3 release we got quite some feedback that users actually like the reminders from shared stores. To provide a better user experience in this regard we have now introduced a configuration option if a reminder should be shown (see disable_shared_reminders in server.cfg). To not introduce a behaviour change for everyone upgrading from 8.3.2 and earlier reminders are shown by default.
Having reminders shown had the negative side effect, that you would also get notifications for appointments, that were marked as private in the shared store. This release now filters these out on the server side.
Improvements to kopano-monitor
The 8.3.3 release restored the ability to deliver “store full” notifications to stores, but at the cost of still allowing the dagent to deliver mails to such as store. This behaviour is now fixed in 8.3.4 and while notifications are still delivered, no new mail is accepted.
