The climate change movement “FridaysForFuture” started with Greta Thunberg’s “Skolstrejk för Klimatet” and since then has received great attention across all sectors. Around 1.4 million people have gone on strike for the first global climate strike on 25 September 2019.

Besides the “FridaysForFuture”, pupils, who followed Greta’s example and marched and demonstrated on Fridays, many other “ForFuture groups” were formed, such as ScientistsForFuture, EconomistsForFuture, ParentsForFuture, ArtistsForFuture, EntrepreneursForFuture –

and also the DevelopersForFuture.

The DevelopersForFuture initiated the “WeVsClimateChange” campaign on the 2020 climate strike and called for people to submit their own projects in the week before the climate strike:
