Kopano Releases February 2019 - Core

Important note about Kopano Groupware Core 8.7.0

Some weeks ago we released Kopano Groupware Core 8.7.0. We got reports from some customers that they are experiencing ‘strange behavior’ when displaying emails (content partially displayed). A few of these reports indicated that users lost their WebApp settings which had to be restored from backup or recreated.

We believe a caching issue is causing the strange behavior, but we have not been able to resolve the problem completely. As a precaution and to prevent unwanted upgrades, we moved the 8.7.0 final packages out of the ‘final’ repositories. Updating using the final repositories will provide the latest 8.6.9 release. This is until we resolve the caching issue and made an 8.7.1 release available. Manually upgrading Groupware Core 8.7.0 is possible by adjusting the URL to the repositories (replace final with 8.7).

Kopano Releases February 2019 - WebApp

WebApp 3.5.2

In February we released WebApp 3.5.2. In this release, we improved Various Keyword Query Language (KQL) and made sure users can print the calendar month view. We also fixed various icon issues.
Last but not least, we resolved an issue where deleting rules/mail filters created an ‘unnamed rule’. The issue sometimes triggered a (harmless) notification in the agent logs upon receipt of an email. Note that you need to clean up existing unnamed rules manually. Pressing and holding the delete key should no longer result in an error message.

Kopano Releases February 2019 - TinyMCE Editor

New HTML editor available: Minimal-TinyMCE

The current HTML editor suffers from formatting issues. One of the solutions to this problem is to replace it with an editor with a reduced set of features. The first version of Minimal-TinyMCE is now available. It removes the possibility to set font-size, font-family, indentation, text color and background. It is still possible to change default font-size and font-family via WebApp settings. You can find the package inside the WebApp repositories
